According to target earnings release, in Q3 ending Oct. 30, its digital comparable sales grew 29% after leaping 155% in Q3 of 2020. In comparison, Amazon’s Q3 net sales grew 15% and Walmart’s Q3 U.S. e-commerce sales grew 8%. While Amazon is the dominant category leader, which won’t change anytime soon, Target offers some key lessons. Seeking Alpha reports that Target has a faster-growing e-commerce business than both Walmart and Costco, which I believe has often been overlooked due to the company’s smaller overall size.
